Applying to be a Club

Remember these requirements….

  • You must have an approved CHARTER on file (specific details on what the charter includes will be provided at the end of each school year)

  • Decisions on whether or not your charter is approved will be emailed and will be FINAL

  • The purpose of all clubs on campus is to serve the student body of the school

  • You must have a certified staff member to serve as the club advisor

  • Clubs are student run groups where the advisor is there to help students make decisions and to remind students about the laws and rules governing clubs

Remember these guidelines…

  • Your club’s focus does not significantly overlap with that of an existing club

  • Your club president is not already president of another club

  • Avoid starting clubs whose main goal is to fundraise for a specific cause

  • Avoid starting clubs whose focus is overly niche


Existing Clubs Requirements

Monthly Meetings

  • All clubs must conduct monthly meetings and provide meeting minutes for said meetings at the binder check (Google Form) conducted each month.

  • Advisor confirmation is required.

Quarter Events

  • All clubs must conduct at least one event each quarter. Evidence (flyers, pictures, etc.) must be documented in the club binder (Google Form).

  • Advisor must be present at all events, even virtual ones.


Existing Clubs Information

Club Account Information

  • Each club has an official account where club funds are stored and spent from (you may request an updated balance from the Account Clerk in Office L)

  • New clubs will have an account opened for them and start with $0

  • Clubs that has had no money deposited or spent for over 18 months will be declared inactive by the student council; any remaining funds will be moved to the ASB General Account and will be used to for the benefit of the entire student body

  • Negative accounts will be frozen from spending money until sufficient funds are raised by the club

  • Proper budgeting in the beginning of the year will help ensure your account is positive at all times
